Vinification  The vines that produced this wine were planted in 1974. It’s not that easy these daysto come across such old vines. She was briefly aged in new oak barrels from Allier in France.

Tasting notes  Summery flavours pop out of this lively, fresh, crisp, dry wine. It hasnotes of floral, nashi pear, citrus fruits and white fleshed nectarines and has a nice perky finish. With fairly firm acidity it is an excellent accompaniment to food and wonderfully thirst quenching.

Food & mood match  Fresh white asparagus with homemade aioli, terrine de champagne and white meat dishes will be a hit with this Pinot Blanc. Best over a long lunch outside in a pretty garden setting with people whose company you really enjoy.

When to drink and how to store  Depending on its vintage keep for a good 4 to 5 years in a nice cool, dark cellar with good humidity.

A few words from the winemaker  A large part of the original vines which were planted in 1974 are still used to produce this wine.
