Grape Variety  30% Gamay, 40% Pinot Noir, 15% Gamaret, 15% Garanoir

Soil  Clay

Vinification   Gamaret and Garanoir are crossings of Gamay and Reichensteiner (a white grape variety) they give this wine depth and complexity.

Tasting notes  Earthy aromas mingled with cherries, cranberries, dried banana, and a touch of sage. A very desirable effect on the palate with flavours of spice, berry fruits and a slight herbaceous touch to it. Silky fine tannins and captivating warmth. A delightful blend of some of Switzerland’s main red grape varieties (Gamay and Pinot Noir).

Food & mood match  With its earthiness, earthy type food is required or best with this wine.

When to drink and how to store  Perfect after 2 to 3 years can be kept for 4 to 5 years and beyond depending on the vintage.
