Blend of red grape varieties aged in oak barrels  Lavaux AOC

75cl bottles come in a case of 6.

Grape Variety  50% Galotta, 25% Gamaret and 25% Garanoir

Soil  Clay

Vinification  Aged in oak barrels from Allier, France.

Tasting Notes Its major grape variety, Galotta is a cross of Gamay and Ancellotta - an Italian variety from Emilia-Romagnain, North-central Italy. Its name may have originated from the Lancellotti family in either the 14th or 15th century. Gamaret and Garanoir are both a cross of Gamay and Reichensteiner (a white variety).  Galotta provides excellent colour, structure and tannin, making it ideal as a blending variety. All three varieties are well resistant to rot.
Fully ripe blackberries, black cherries, a smidgen of spice and a dash of cherry liqueur on the nose along with a rich and fruity slightly spicy palate. They all infiltrate the senses and leave a lingering finish.

Food & Mood Match  Gooey, hot, dark chocolate sweet treats. For meat lovers, game is the perfect companion. Chocolate conjures up romance, so I'll leave it up to your imagination...

When to Drink and How to Store  Great now and for at least another 4-5 years. With the right storing conditions perhaps even longer. Open and let it breath a while before serving.

Tip  It is essential that it be served in a large, elegant glass to get the full effect.

A few words from the winemaker  Its not only a wine, its a true sensorial experience.
